West Texas, near Marathon (April 2018)
When I was bored with photographing in average light, I began seeking out more dramatic times to photograph. I started photographing at night, and as part of that learned how to photograph the night sky. After I got tired of photographing run-of-the-mill starry skies, I began going to Big Bend - one of the darkest places in the country - to capture the sky. After a while, I got bored with that, and would only go on moonless nights with a clear view of the Milky Way.
On the last trip, I was bored with standard silhouetted foreground elements, so I lit them up. I'm wondering what will come next. I don't know, and I need to wait for boredom to take over.
